The person responsible for booking Atlanta’s State Farm Arena didn’t think the Atlanta Hawks would make it into the NBA playoffs.
When the team clinched a playoff spot — she didn’t believe they would survive the first round. That explains why the arena was double-booked for Thursday night.
The Hawks stunned the Boston Celtics 119-117 in Game 5 to keep their playoff series alive on Tuesday. They will take on the Celtics in a must-win Game 6 at home in State Farm Arena on Thursday.
Janet Jackson’s sold-out “Together Again Tour” was also booked for Thursday night at State Farm Arena.
State Farm announced Jackson’s concert is being pushed back to Friday. Janet’s sold-out concert on Wednesday night, April 26, will go on as planned. Atlanta’s own Ludacris will open both shows.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:45 p.m.
Refunds are available for Janet’s fans who can’t alter their schedules at the last minute.
SHOW UPDATE: Due to tonight’s @ATLHawks Game 5 win ?, we will host Game 6 on Thursday, moving Thursday’s Janet Jackson concert to Friday. If you have tickets to the original show date, they will be honored for Friday’s date.
