Earlier today, Trump was seen leaving a Manhattan courthouse after he became the first US President to be arrested in US history on Tuesday, April 4.

His trial will likely be held after the 2024 presidential elections.

Trump surrendered to the Manhattan DA’s Office on Tuesday afternoon. He was surrounded by Secret Service and NY police officers as he entered a Manhattan courthouse.

Trump rode the elevator to the 15th floor of 100 Centre Street and strode into a courtroom where he pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts.

The leading Republican presidential candidate was not handcuffed and no booking photo was taken.

Trump plans to hold a rally at his Florida golf course at Mar-A-Lago later today.

Trump’s supporters say he was arrested because Democrats fear he is the only candidate who can beat President Biden in the 2024 election. They compared the Democrats to Russian President Putin who has political opponents arrested.

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is at the courthouse, tweeted:

“Communist Democrats arrested President Trump because he’s the only man standing in their way as they fight for a hostile takeover of America.

We will never abandon him.”

Another Twitter user wrote: “This is the first “perp walk” captured of a former United States president.”
