Young Thug was let out of jail to attend the funeral service for his oldest sister, Angela Grier, who died suddenly on March 25.
An Instagram blog noted that Thugger attended his sister’s funeral accompanied by a police escort.
“They let lil Jeff come see his sister,” the blogger wrote.
The IG blog, @411uncut, posted images from the service, but there are no photos of the rapper, real name Jeffery Williams, at the funeral.
Young Thug, 31, reportedly wore a tailored suit with white Air Force 1s.
The rapper and his sister were very close. Grier recently shared a photo of her brother flexing his muscles behind bars. She captioned the image: “My heart.”

Young Thug is one of 11 siblings. His celebrity friends, including Tiny Harris, Metro Boomin, and Trinidad James paid tribute to Grier online.
Grier, 2nd from left is pictured with the rapper and their siblings at his birthday celebration on August 15, 2016 in Atlanta. Grier leaves behind three children, Quendarious, Fardereen, and Aniya.
Grier’s son Fardereen Deonta Grier fatally shot his girlfriend, Destiny Fitzpatrick, in the face during a dispute in East Point, Ga. on July 6, 2022. He remains in jail without bond.
Young Thug is currently on trial along with 13 other YSL gang associates in Atlanta. They were charged in May 2022 with conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act and gang activity.
The trial is expected to last six to 9 months. Young Thug faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 if convicted.
