Rapper A$AP Rocky found himself locked out of the 2023 Met Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 1, in New York City.
Rihanna’s baby daddy was denied entry because he was dressed in street clothes — a black hoodie and matching sweatpants — which violated the Met Gala’s strict dress code.
So Rocky found another way in — by hopping over a barricade and barging his way inside.

The woman whose shoulder was used by the rapper to catapult himself over the barricade spoke out later. She posted a video, tweeting: “Hello I’m the girl.”
She explained what he said to her before he hopped the fence. “He tapped my shoulder and was like ‘sweetheart I need to get through’ and I went ‘no’ and then he just shoved.” She said she was happy when she saw who he was.

Rocky quickly changed out of his street clothes and into a black tuxedo jacket over a plaid kilt and rhinestone-studded blue jeans. He made it just in time to escort Rihanna on the red carpet.
Rihanna was a vision to behold. She wore a floral shawl over a cream maternity gown with matching fingerless gloves and white Chanel sunglasses. It took 5 people to carry Rihanna’s long train up the steps.
When a reporter asked RiRi who designed her gown, she responded “It’s Valentino, baby.”
Rihanna’s fans were happy that she didn’t copy her “Chanel Big Bird” look from earlier this week. But the Navy thought she could do better than her Met Gala attire.
“She look like some buttercream icing,” one Twitter user noted. Author Chris Sumlin said, “she’s done better,” while Canadian journalist Etalk tweeted: “It’s giving whipped cream” vibes.
