Wendy Williams made a rare appearance at a MET Gala after party on Monday night. The 57-year-old former talk show host attended an after party at The Standard hotel with blogger Jason Lee.

Wendy, 57, wore a pleated rainbow-inspired colorblock dress, while Lee opted for a black lace pantsuit that clashed with her frock.

Fans remarked how great Wendy looked and her makeup wasn't overdone for the occasion.

Wendy promised to return to her daytime TV talk show, even though the show was canceled and her spot taken by Sherri Shepherd.

"I'm going to be back on the Wendy show," she said in March. "Bigger and brighter than ever."

However, the show's producers announced in February that Sherri, who frequently stepped in to host during Wendy's extended absences, was getting her own talk show, Sherri.

Wendy is still battling Wells Fargo Bank for control of a locked account containing $3 million.

Everyone agrees that last night's MET Gala was boring because half the celebrities didn't stay on theme.

The theme for the 2022 MET Gala was "In America: An Anthology of Fashion: Gilded Glamour and White Tie."

The term "Gilded Age" was coined by author Mark Twain. It means an embarrassment of riches and materialism.

80% of the celebrities were off theme last night. They were asked to do one thing, but their egos got in the way.

The costumes looked like a mashup between Halloween and Harry Potter.

The only celebrities who killed it last night were actress Blake Lively and Telemundo reporter Genesis Suero.

Blake is best known for playing Serena van der Woodsen in The CW series Gossip Girl. She wore a crowd-pleasing copper Atelier Versace gown with massive bow that when unwrapped, transformed into a dramatic aqua blue dress.

Her proud husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, stood back and let her shine.

"I arrived copper and then, like New York City classic architecture, I patinaed," Blake told a reporter.

The 2022 MET Gala started at 6 p.m. and already Twitter users are griping about the underwhelming fashions. Watch the Met Gala Live below.

The complaints are already pouring in online as celebrities such as co-host La La Anthony (top), Venus Williams, left, and Janelle Monáe (right) failed to impress the Twitter fashionistas.

La La was adorned in a cut-out gown by designer LaQuan Smith and David Yurman jewelry.

One Twitter user wrote:

"#LaLaAnthony in #LaQuanSmith just looks tacky. She's another host who completely ignored the theme. And I still have no clue as to why she is a host. #MetGala2022."

La La is a TV personality and former DJ, best known as an MTV VJ on Total Request Live. She was asked whether her burgundy gown was on theme. She responded, "I think it's on theme, but it still feels like me."

Invited guests were asked to make a fashion statement in keeping with the theme "In America: An Anthology of Fashion: Gilded Glamour and White Tie."

The term "Gilded Age" was coined by author Mark Twain in a novel in the 1800s. It means an embarrassment of riches and excessive materialism.

Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour was criticized for being "out of touch" with the times. As many Americans struggle with rising inflation, high rent, high food, and high gas, Wintour celebrates smug opulence.

Some of us are old enough to remember when Anna Wintour refused to invite Kim Kardashian to "Fashion's Biggest Night" - the Met Gala.

Then Kanye West convinced Wintour to change her mind.

Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images

Kim scored her first ever Met Gala invite in 2013 - when she was pregnant with daughter North West. She wore a custom Givenchy maternity gown designed by Kanye's friend Riccardo Tisci.

Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour has invited all the Kardashians and Jenners - including Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney who have never attended the Met Gala.

Wintour reviewed her Met Gala guest list and noticed all of the Kardashians and Jenners weren't on it.

So she invited them all - including Kourtney (and fiancé Travis Barker), Kim (and beau Pete Davidson) and Khloe as well as Kris, Kendall and Kylie Jenner (baby daddy Travis Scott was not invited).

Khloe looked overwhelmed as she arrived at a New York hotel on Sunday, ahead of her first Met Gala appearance.

Brother Rob Kardashian, 35, won't be in attendance because he doesn't attend red carpet events.

Kim, 41, Kendall, 26, and Kylie, 24, have attended the Met Gala multiple times, but it will be Pete's first appearance on the fashion world's Super Bowl of red carpet events.

Kim and Pete attended the 2022 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton in D.C. on Saturday.

This year's Met Gala theme is Gilded Glamour, a modern day spin on the Gilded Age, an era that symbolized an embarrassment of riches and materialism.

Keke Palmer is not backtracking from her negative review of Chef Marcus Samuelsson's food at the Met Gala on Monday.

Keke went viral when she shared a photo of her wilted salad as part of her 3-course meal at the Met Gala.

Marcus -- who helped select the 10 aspiring chefs to feed the hungry A-listers - told TMZ he was dismayed that Keke criticized the food he curated.

Mike Coppola/Getty Images

When a fan retweeted Page Six's article about chef Marcus Samuelsson defending his food on Wednesday, the 28-year-old actress replied, "I just have different taste buds! I love this Chef, sorry to this man."

Keke first criticized the food on her Instagram Story after paying $30,000-$50,000 for her ticket.

She wrote: "The menu chile... This is why they don't show y'all the food... I'm just playinnnn."

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour defended Marcus's meatless menu in a statement to Page Six on Tuesday.

"We are so thrilled and grateful to have worked with Marcus Samuelsson on the menu for this year's Met Gala. The plant-based menu featured recipes from 10 emerging New York-based chefs to celebrate the return of the city's restaurant industry, which was devastated by the pandemic."

Marcus is the head chef of Red Rooster in Harlem.

Fans who had hoped to celebrate the official announcement of Justin and Hailey Bieber's first child will have to wait.

Justin Bieber's model wife is not pregnant, despite Justin cradling her apparent baby bump on the red carpet at the 2021 Met Gala on Monday.

The Biebers sparked rumors that Hailey was pregnant after Justin placed his hand over her midsection during the Met Gala.

Dozens of paparazzi captured the moment-- but Justin only held his hand on Hailey's tummy for a split second.

Still, that split second appeared to all the world that a Bieber baby was on the way.

Millions of Bieber fans rejoiced on social media into the night and early Tuesday morning.

However, sources close to the couple tell TMZ that Hailey's uterus is vacant, and it was just an innocent pose.

The couple's appearance at the star-studded ball was a first for them, and it served a dual purpose -- they were also there celebrating their wedding anniversary.

TMZ broke the story, Justin and Hailey exchanged their vows at a civil ceremony at a courthouse in 2018, and they had a blowout wedding for friends and family in South Carolina in 2019.

The Met Gala was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Keke Palmer sparked Internet memes when she posted a photo of her wilted salad as part of her 3-course meal at the $30,000-$50,000 per ticket Met Gala, held on Monday night in NYC.

The actress captioned the image: "This is why they don't show y'all the food. I'm just playing."

According to TMZ, Chef Marcus Samuelsson defended allegations that the food was unpalatable at the high society event.

Marcus -- who helped select the 10 aspiring chefs to feed the hungry A-listers - was dismayed that Keke criticized the food served at the $30K-$50K per ticket gala.

Marcus -- the head chef of Red Rooster in Harlem, created the totally meatless menu at the gala. He tells TMZ, yes, Keke's picture is in fact a sample of the food served at the ultra exclusive event.

Marcus described the unrecognizable food on Keke's plate as barley topped with roasted maitake mushrooms, tomato salad with corn and zucchini slices.

Marcus said -- despite Keke's criticism -- the 3-course vegan meal was delicious and the feedback he got from other guests has been incredible.

Marcus, in collaboration with Bon Appétit, hired and then challenged 10 aspiring NY chefs to create a "sustainable, plant-based menu" with all the bells and whistles - hence all the fruits and veggies.

However, Keke's pic, which consisted of the entree, had everyone talking about how unappetizing the food looked.

One person wrote, "This was clearly a 'eat before you get there' type of thing."

Another person wrote, "They feeding y'all like it's Fyre Festival."

In addition to a fresh salad, Keke dined on appetizers, including 6 hor d'oeuvres, a watermelon pumpkin salad, Spanish-style tomato toast rubbed with garlic and anchovy oil, followed by collard greens served on coconut buttermilk cornbread, black rice porcini arancini and smoked yuzu soy on a single panipuri cracker.

Dessert included an apple topped with chocolate mousse and apple confit with a calvados eau-de-vie glaze.

Nicki Minaj dissed MSNBC host Joy Reid after the Democrat TV host criticized her for saying she was skipping the Met Gala because she's unvaccinated.

Nicki, 39, recently sparked anger when she refused to get vaccinated after catching Covid-19 while shooting a video for Sunday's MTV VMAs.

The mother of one said she was concerned about spreading Covid to her infant son if she got vaccinated. People who are vaccinated can still contract and spread Covid-19.

"They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won't for the Met," she tweeted.

"It'll be once I feel I've done enough research. I'm working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one".

Among the many responses to Nicki's tweets was Joy Reid, the 52-year-old host of "The ReidOut." She slammed Nicki for spreading "misinformation" to her 22 million followers.

She was outraged that Nicki promoted vaccine hesitancy in the Black community. More than 70% of Black people are unvaccinated due to fears of past medical abuse by the government.

Nicki responded by tweeting a link to Joy Reid's video with the caption:

"The two white men sittin there nodding their heads cuz this uncle tomiana doing the work chile. How sad."

Elliot Page, right, attended the 2021 Met Gala looking sharp in a men's tailored suit for the actor's appearance at the 2021 Met Gala on Monday night.

The 34-year-old Juno star, formerly Ellen Page, posed for photos with fellow actors Kit Harrington and Leslie Rose.

Elliot wore a classic Balenciaga tuxedo for the annual high society bash, which was themed "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion."

The outing marked Elliot's first red carpet appearance since coming out as female-to-male trans.

The men's tailored suit featured an oversized dinner jacket with padded shoulders and extra-long sleeves. The outfit was accessorized with a crisp white shirt with a thick silver button at the collar in place of a tie, oversized black sneakers and a green rose pinned next to the lapels.

The appearance was no doubt a monumental moment for the actor, who told Time magazine that wearing women's clothing was traumatic.

"Even though (I was) an actor, just putting on a T-shirt cut for a woman would make me so unwell."

The Met Gala comes ahead of the opening of the exhibition Part 2, In America: An Anthology of Fashion in the American Wing period rooms at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5, 2022.

Question: What do you think of Elliot's cute suit?

Keke Palmer posted a photo of wilted "fresh salad" that was included as part of her 3-course meal at the $30,000-$50,000 per ticket Met Gala, held on Monday night in NYC.

The 28-year-old actress wore a shimmering black open back floor length gown by Sergio Hudson to the Met Gala, themed "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion."

Half of the well-heeled guests left after ascending the steps and having their photos taken by paparazzi to prove they attended the event.

However, Keke was one of the celebs who stayed to dine on the fully meatless 3-course meal.

She posted a photo on her Instagram Story showing her plate of wilted salad that looked like it had been left outside in the sun.

Keke captioned the image: "This is why they don't show y'all the food. I'm just playing."

According to Dailymail.com, this year's menu was completely vegan, with 10 of New York's top chefs hired to feed the hungry A-listers.

Dinner consisted of a "fresh salad" as a starter, followed by collard greens served on coconut buttermilk cornbread, black rice porcini arancini with pumpkin Calabrian chili sauce, and watermelon tart with smoked yuzu soy on a single panipuri cracker.

The main course consisted of creamed barley with corn, pickled turnips, and roasted maitake mushrooms.

For desert, the A-listers savored a dish of apple mousse and apple confit with a calvados eau-de-vie glaze.

They washed it all down with champagne and fine wines.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's low income constituents are demanding answers after she attended the $30,000 Met Gala in NYC on Monday night.

The progressive congresswoman wore a $1,000 white gown with the political slogan "Tax the Rich" in red lettering on the back.

She attended the well-heeled event with her stylist, fashion designer Aurora James.

AOC wanted to make a bold statement about the 1% in America, but she ended up making a hypocrite of herself for mingling with the same people she criticizes.

Tickets for the Met Gala ranged from $30,000 - $50,000, with tables reportedly going between $300,000 - $500,000.

Twitter users mocked AOC for being a hypocrite.

Others complained that AOC went maskless for the high society event, while Americans - vaxxed and unvaxxed - are urged to wear masks (Rules for thee, but not for me).

Twitter users mocked the congresswoman by writing their own slogans on her dress. One Twitter user compared her gown to a Chick-fil-A bag.

Nicki Minaj refuses to get vaccinated to attend this year's Met Gala after catching Covid-19 while shooting a video for Sunday's MTV VMAs.

The 38-year-old rapper shared her concerns about the mRNA vaccines in a series of tweets on Monday afternoon.

She also questioned Met organizers demanding all attendees provide proof of full vaccination status.

M. Brown/Getty Images

Nicki said she would get vaccinated after doing her research. She said if she gets the shots, "it won't be for the Met."

"They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won't [be] for the Met. It'll be once I feel I've done enough research. I'm working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one."

Responding to a follower who noticed Nicki hadn't made an appearance in a year, she wrote:

"I have an infant with no nannies during COVID. who mad? Not risking his health to be seen. One yaself."

In another tweet, she wrote:

"I was prepping for vmas then i shot a video & guess who got COVID?

"Do u know what it is not to be able to kiss or hold your tiny baby for over a week? A baby who is only used to his mama?"

BACKGRID

She went on to question the effectiveness of the vaccines, noting that rapper Drake caught Covid-19 while fully vaccinated:

"'Get vaccinated?' Drake had just told me he got covid w|THE VACCINE tho so chile."

Cases of vaccinated people coming down with the virus - known as 'breakthrough infections' - are considered rare, but still occur and can result in severe illness, hospitalization or even death, according to the CDC.

Nicki isn't discouraging people from getting the vaccines, particularly if they're forced to get the shots for work. She said she may get the vaccines to go on tour.

"I know babe. A lot of countries won't let ppl work w/o the vaccine. I'd def recommend they get the vaccine. They have to feed their families. I'm sure I'll b vaccinated as well cuz I have to go on tour, etc."
