Shannon Sharpe’s Los Angeles home was burglarized, and the crooks made off with over $1 million in jewelry, watches and designer bags.

Law enforcement tells TMZ Sports, the burglary happened on May 19 — after Sharpe had left home in the early evening.

The retired NFL star discovered the break-in when he returned home after dining with friends.

Sharpe told cops his expensive watches, jewelry and some designer bags were missing.

According to law enforcement, there were no obvious signs of forced entry — an indication that it may have been an inside job.

The timing of the burglary is suspicious. It comes a month after Sharpe introduced his close friend TJ as the newest member of “Team Shay.” TJ is an Instagram influencer who calls himself “Mr. D Print.”

It seems the burglar(s) knew Sharpe wasn’t at home and where he kept his cash and valuables.

Sharpe has put up a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s).

The burglary occurred days after Sharpe slammed Ja Morant’s apologists for making excuses when the Memphis Grizzlies star waved a gun around in an Instagram Live video.

“I’m mad, I’m upset, I’m disgusted by the people that defended (Morant), because that’s what got us here,” Sharpe said in an episode of sports debate show “Undisputed”.

“See, Ja can’t do any further embarrassment to himself,” Sharpe said. “What about to the Memphis Grizzles? What about to the NBA? What about the Nike? What about the Powerade? Now I want to know who is going to be the treasurer of that GoFundMe because he is about to lose that NBA contract. He is about to lose that Powerade endorsement.”

Nike released Morant’s signature sneaker this week after missing the original launch date.

Sources say Morant will be suspended for the entire 2023-24 NBA season.
