Update 3: A San Diego County judge granted a $50,000 bond in rapper Boosie Badass’s federal gun case. But he isn’t free to go.

A federal prosecutor filed a motion to keep the father of 8 locked up on multiple gun charges until his trial. The feds tracked Boosie by land and by air for weeks before arresting him on June 14.

“Sources confirmed Boosie was granted bond in his gun case Tuesday afternoon. However, prosecutors are attempting to overturn the judge’s decision by filing a motion to keep the rapper behind bars. The Baton Rouge music artist is facing multiple gun charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm and transporting firearms across interstate highways.”

Update 2: Rapper Boosie has reportedly been granted bond in his federal gun case, according to VladTV sources. Details of his bond have not been released.

The feds focused on Boosie on May 6 after the rapper was spotted on Instagram Live associating with a “known Neighborhood Crip gang member.”

Law enforcement also observed a Glock handgun tucked in Boosie’s waistband in the same video.

After pulling Boosie over in a black Mercedes SUV, San Diego officers found a loaded handgun matching the one seen in the video. Convicted felons are prohibited from possessing firearms.

Update: In a cryptic tweet following his arrest, Boosie, real name Torrence Hatch, apologized to his 8 children.

He wrote: “i wanna take time to apologize to my kids im sorry & i love yall 4ever.”

The Baton Rouge rapper was in court on June 14, when a judge dismissed his May 6 gun charge, WAFB reports.

However, Boosie was arrested by federal agents as he left the courthouse, according to TMZ

In a recent interview on Math Hoffa’s podcast, Boosie addressed the gun charge.

“My boy gon’ say that’s his gun when they come to the car. That’s what they do,” Boosie said. “That’s why you have the youngest person in the clique for all that time around you.”
