Update: Tina Knowles dropped Richard Lawson’s last name from her Instagram account. Tina’s Instagram username is still @mstinalawson. The name change confirms reports that she is back on the market.
According to sharp-eyed IG users, Tina and Richard both stopped wearing their wedding rings.
Tina’s last post featuring Richard was in mid-March. Richard’s last IG post mentioning his estranged wife was in December 2022.
The 76-year-old actor was noticeably absent from Jay-Z’s mom, Gloria Carter’s wedding in New York City last week. And Tina didn’t attend the screening of Richard’s new film, Black Terror, at the 2023 Essence Festival in New Orleans.
Friends say the 69-year-old mom-of-2 is depressed and lonely. Her daughters, Beyonce and Solange, drop by or call often to check on her.
Tina recently shared an IG video — which she says was recorded “months ago” during happier times.
In the clip, she dances to Beyonce’s “Break My Soul” while singing the chorus: “You won’t break my soul!”
Tina captioned the video:
“My niece sent this to me this morning!!! She said it inspires her to fend off the haters when they try to get to her. . . I recorded it months ago . But I needed to see this old post myself today !! I refuse to let anything break my soul! I will live my life to the fullest ! I will continue to treat people the way I want to be treated! I will be as happy and healthy as God intends for me! I will always put God first . I will learn from my mistakes and I will continue to be an optimist ! Above all I will not let anyone Break My Soul. How about you?”

Last month, actor Richard Lawson denied rumors that he and his wife Tina Knowles are living apart and seeing new people, according to Rhymeswithsnitch.com.
Speculation ran rampant when fans noticed that Richard, 76, did not attend any of Beyonce’s Renaissance European tour dates despite being in Cannes, France at the time.
Last week, someone broke into Tina’s Hollywood Hills home and stole over $1 million in cash and valuables. Fans wonder if the burglary and the couple’s breakup are connected.
Fans began putting 2+2 together when Richard failed to show up to any of his stepdaughter’s concerts. Internet sleuths compared notes and noticed other inconsistencies.
One fan noted Tina and Richard didn’t attend the Cannes film festival together this year.
The fan wrote:
“Sadly it looks like him and Tina split up. They didn’t post anything about their anniversary back in April. Usually she always repost about the Waco theater or something about him being in the Cannes, showing support.”

“I was wondering. She’s been [on] tour with her daughter and she posted something so weird a few weeks ago asking why men cheat when they have good wives. She didn’t even join Richard in Cannes for the film, although she was already in Europe.”

Beyonce’s fans are saddened that her 69-year-old mother is apparently back on the market after 8 years of marriage. Tina divorced Beyonce’s dad, Mathew Knowles, after he fathered two children out of wedlock.
