Atlanta rapper Jeezy reportedly filed for divorce from TV host Jeannie Mai after just 2 years of marriage. The couple wed in an imitate ceremony at their Atlanta area home in March 2021.
The divorce filing must have come as a surprise to Jeannie, who is still using Jeezy’s last name on her Instagram page. There are also photos of Jeezy on her IG, which suggests he may not have told his wife that he’s leaving her.
The marriage was the first for Jeezy, 45, and the second for Jeannie, 44. Jeannie divorced Freddy Harteis in 2018 because he didn’t want children. They were married for 11 years.
In June, Jeannie wrote, “First thing I woke up to this Father’s Day was my husband making breakfast for our kids. Happiest Father’s Day to the man who protects us, provides for us, and whose first published book is already #1 Best Seller on Amazon preorder!! That’s our Daddy.”
They share a daughter, Monaco, who was born in January 2022.
A prenuptial agreement is in place, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The father-of-four is asking for joint custody of the toddler.
In May, the couple traveled to Vietnam to film an episode of her travel series on their 2nd anniversary.
