Update, Sept. 29, 2023 at 8:23 PM:
The grandmother of a social media influencer who was arrested during the mass looting in Philadelphia says she’s ashamed of her.
Dayjia Blackwell, 21, was charged with 6 felonies for recording the mayhem on live-stream video and urging her Instagram followers to loot on Tuesday night.
Vashti Fields says her granddaughter should apologize to the businesses she looted.
“What goes through my mind, as a grandmother, is I’m very ashamed. I’m very ashamed to see my child there, at that time. Number one, she could have gotten hurt,” Fields told FOX 29 News.
Blackwell was heard urging looters to steal iPhones at the Apple store.
But Apple remotely disabled the iPhones, leaving the looters with expensive paper weights.

Ironically, police used Blackwell’s videos to track down and arrest over 50 looters.
Police spotted the Instagram influencer at a gas station around midnight and arrested her.
She was released from jail Wednesday and thanked her followers for their support.
“Dayjia is a loving, kind, caring, business-minded go-getter,” Fields said.
“When I see someone of my blood, that has been there while this is happening, and they are saying they are an influencer, that hurts me deeply,” Fields added.
“I want her to start a business and, most of all, I want her to be a positive influencer,” Fields stated.
