Flavor Flav was honored when the Milwaukee Bucks asked him to sing the National Anthem ahead of the game between the Bucks and the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.

The Public Enemy rapper and hype man sang the “Star Spangled Banner” with energy and exuberance. He pronounced every syllable and sang the anthem with gusto.

Flavor, 64, wore his signature oversized clock pendant, a Bucks jersey and a white ball cap.

The rapper concluded by repeating “of the Brave,” several times. The audience gave him a thunderous applause for his effort.

“YEAH BOY. S/O @FlavorFlav for the flavorful anthem!,” the Bucks wrote on Twitter/X.

Afterwards, Flavor said the honor was “a long time bucket list item” for him. He is best known for starring in VH1 reality TV shows, including “Flavor of Love”, The Surreal Life”, and “Strange Love.”

The father-of-7 reacted to the negative responses on Twitter/X, writing:

“I can’t live my life worried about what people might say about me. I won’t let that stop me from trying new things and doing things I wanna do. Some people might not like that. But a sure failure is if you stop trying.”
