A shoplifter was knocked out cold by a well-thrown 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola in a convenience store.
Surveillance video shows a father leave his family at the front of the store to confront a brazen shoplifter whose backpack was filled with items he allegedly didn’t pay for.
Citizens are taking matters into their own hands because retail theft drives up the cost of food and other basic necessities.
The man positioned himself between the thief and the store’s only exit. So the thief shoved shopping carts at the man in an attempt to escape. That’s when a store employee stepped up and tossed a 2-liter bottle of soda at the thief’s head, knocking him out cold.
The date and location of the incident are not known. The video went viral on Monday, Oct. 30.
A Reddit user theorized that the thief was only shoplifting because he was from a “marginalized community” and couldn’t afford to support himself without stealing.
Others complimented the store employee on his accurate throw. They suggested he should try out for the New York Mets baseball team.
Was he arrested – OR was the coke tossing person arrested for interfering with a robbery. My guess that is what happen..
