Singer/songwriter Victoria Monét performed her hit song “On My Mama” live on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday. The 34-year-old Atlanta, Georgia native is one of the few artists who can perform live without studio trickery.
Monét and her backup dancers performed live with Fallon’s house band. She has written songs for Nas, Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony, T.I., Chrisette Michele, Coco Jones, Chris Brown, and more.
Her debut album Jaguar II, released on June 16, 2023, spawned her hit “On My Mama.” The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 98 and peaked at number 76.
In 2023, she finally gave in to label demands and switched up her look to be more mainstream. She abandoned her natural brunette tresses for a blond lacefront wig.
Monét is currently in the midst of “The Jaguar Tour,” which is selling out in small venues across the country.
