Robert De Niro’s baby mama Tiffany Chen blasted his former assistant Graham Chase Robinson as “mean-spirited” and a “hot mess” during testimony on Thursday.
De Niro, 80, is being sued for gender discrimination by Robinson.
Chen, the mother of De Niro’s youngest child, took the witness stand to support her man on the fourth day of the civil trial.
“She was very strange from the beginning and always uncomfortable to be around,” said Chen, according to People.com. “I was killing her with kindness… She was a hot mess. Her schedule was off all the time,” she added.
Chen also referred to Robinson as “mean-spirited and b—-y”.
Chen is mom to De Niro’s seventh child, 6-month-old daughter Gia. She is pictured with Gayle King holding Gia during an interview on CBS Mornings. De Niro became one of the oldest fathers in America at age 79 when Gia was born.
Robinson, who was employed by De Niro for 11 years until 2019, accused the “Goodfellas” star of gender discrimination during her employment at his production company, Canal Productions.
Robinson, 44, began working for De Niro when she was 25. She resigned from her job as vice president of production and finance in 2019.
She claims the Oscar winner used “vulgar, inappropriate, and gendered comments” at work. She also said she was overworked and underpaid because she’s a woman.
Following her resignation in 2019, De Niro sued Robinson for $6 million, accusing her of improper use of the company credit card, watching TV on company time and stealing frequent-flier miles for personal trips.
De Niro lashed out at Robinson as he testified in court on Tuesday. He angrily glared at his former assistant and yelled, Shame on you!”
De Niro lowered his voice and apologized to Judge Lewis J. Liman for losing his cool.
Robinson is asking for $12 million in damages in her gender discrimination lawsuit.
