Jeannie Mai Jenkins raised safety concerns over rapper Jeezy’s firearms that have been left “unsecured in the past.”

Jeannie, 44, and Jeezy, 46, share daughter Monaco who was born on January 11, 2022. The television host denied Jeezy’s allegations that she is keeping their daughter from him.

In a November court filing, Jeezy accused Jeannie of “gatekeeping” Monaco to prevent her from spending quality time with him.

In court documents obtained by People.com, Jeannie raised safety concerns over the rapper’s arsenal of weapons.

Jeannie suggested that Jeezy (Jay Wayne Jenkins) was irresponsible with his arsenal of weapons left unsecured around a minor child. She is asking for “reasonable safety measures” for Jeezy’s firearms.

“It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being,” the court filing read.

The court document continued:

“These requests are grounded in Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, especially when under the care of others and traveling across the country, and are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter.”
