A Minnesota man told police he fatally shot a male-to-female transgender who made him feel “suspicious” during oral.
Damarean Kaylon Bible, 25, was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 38-year-old Savannah Ryan Williams.
Williams was killed on November 29 around 5:45 a.m., according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Bible allegedly shot Williams from “inches away” after the s*x worker serviced him in an alley on 4th Avenue South in Minneapolis.
According to the Star-Tribune, Williams allegedly met Bible at a bus shelter on Lake Street and solicited him. The two agreed on a price and entered a neighboring courtyard where Williams performed the act on Bible.
Bible told police he felt suspicious throughout the act. He subsequently shot Williams with a 9mm handgun, according to authorities.
Bible left Williams to die. The body wasn’t found until hours later.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Williams as transsexual s*x worker Miguel R Stillday.
Using multiple surveillance videos, police followed Bible to an apartment building at 95 S. 10th St. They showed his picture to building management who provided his apartment number. Bible was arrested when he left his apartment.
Police discovered a 9mm Polymer 80 pistol in a search of his apartment. They also recovered clothing that matched the items worn by the assailant in the surveillance video.
Bible initially denied killing Williams, but he admitted his involvement when shown the video surveillance.
Bible was described as a straight-A student who was well-liked in high school.
He called his dad from jail on Friday, saying he “just murdered someone” and that he “knew he wasn’t God but he had to do it.”
Bible was also charged with first-degree aggravated armed robbery in connection with an incident at the Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis on November 9.
