An Atlanta woman is giving up on the dating scene after she went on a date with a man and his boyfriend showed up at the same restaurant.
TikTok user @realashtonb shared her story in a viral video on Wednesday. The video racked up nearly 5 million views and over 21,000 comments.
Ashton explained that she met the man in a shopping mall, and they exchanged numbers. She said the guy seemed “down to Earth.”
After meeting up at the restaurant, Ashton said she liked his vibe, but his “energy shifts out of nowhere” after he received a phone call. Then he excused himself to go the restroom.
Ashton said when her date returned to the table, he was noticeably nervous, looking over his shoulder, glancing around, etc.
“Are we safe? Is everything OK? Are we good?” she asked him.
Later, she noticed a group of men enter the restaurant and sit at the bar. Her date turned his body so they wouldn’t see him.
The single mom said one man in the group was annoyed that his boyfriend was out with some “b*tch!”
Her date excused himself to go to the restroom again. The group followed him into the restroom and a fight broke out.
Ashton captioned the video “I will no longer be partaking in the dating scene.”
