Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a brawl at a youth flag football tournament in Atlanta.
The former Carolina Panthers quarterback was involved in a brawl with several people during a flag football tournament on Sunday, TMZ reported.
The 34-year-old father-of-eight was not injured.
Several cell phone videos show Newton, who is 6′-5″, scuffling with several members of “TSP Crew,” or TopShelf Performance, a team that was playing in the tournament.
The scuffle started after Newton’s age 15-and-under team won the championship at the event.
Cell phone video shows several shorter men throwing punches at the NFL star as he tries to fend them off near a fence.
Police and security eventually stepped in to break up the brawl. Newton was dressed in all black. His lengthy dreadlocks protruded through a hole in the top of his black hat.
“All we can confirm is that a third party rented the BEST Academy athletic field and hosted the event. Atlanta Police provided on site security at the request of the third party,” Atlanta Public Schools spokesman Seth Coleman told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
