Comedian and TV personality Steve Harvey was a guest on BET TV's "Sip 'n Smoke with Cam Newton."

Newton introduced Harvey as "The man, the myth, the legend himself."

Among the topics of discussion were the keys to success, relevancy, marriage and fatherhood advice.

"The thing I've learned about fatherhood," said Harvey, "ain't no manual, ain't no blueprint for raising yo' kids, and you have to allow them -- because they are going to -- so it's not you allowing them. They are going to make mistakes -- and you have to allot for those mistakes. Because, no matter what you teach them as a parent, they one day are going to make a mistakes that's completely adverse to everything you've ever taught them."

Harvey said his sons are different because he raised them to be head of a household, a husband and a father. "It's going to require toughness so I make them struggle a little bit more."

Harvey said his daughters are different. "I'm protective of them. If you attack my daughters or my wife, I'm coming for you."

He added: "Cats out here be running they mouth... You don't understand: I will die for them."

Both Cam Newton and Steve Harvey are raising (or raised) stepchildren. The superstar quarterback asked Harvey how he handled a stepchild who challenges him and says, "You ain't my daddy."

"When I married Marjorie, Marjorie had three children," said Harvey. "One time one of them said to me, 'you ain't my daddy.' And my question was, 'Ok, but where he at though?' 'Cause I get tight too. Don't step to me disrespectful. Because I'm doing the job [sic]."

Harvey went on to praise men who step up and take on another man's responsibility ("That's a different kind of man.").

It isn't every day that high school football players get invited to attend superstar NFL MVP and Heisman winner's Cam Newton's football camp.

Instead of appreciating the opportunity, one high school football player went viral for heckling the New England Patriots quarterback on Sunday.

Jseth Owens told Newton he was "about to be poor" since he's a free agent.

Newton shot back, "I'm rich!" The two went back and forth until Newton asked if the boy had a father.

"Where's your daddy at? Let me talk to your dad. Where's your dad?"

After the video went viral, several professional athletes took to social media to criticize Owens for trash talking one of NFL's greats.

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young wrote: "Probably should ask him how to be a MVP in the league you probably wanna play in first."

"Man I wish I had NFL players at my 7 on 7. Let alone a player as elite as Cam Newton," tweeted Green Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. "Reality check, You got a guy who has reached every mile stone that we dreamed of as kids. You supposed to be picking his brain, being a sponge. Not a annoying fly that caused no damage to him."

L.A. Sparks WNBA player Chiney Ogwumike wrote: "kids. kids. kids. please put some respect on his name... Heisman winner & NFL MVP.. This is a CAM NEWTON appreciation tweet. (and btw... "I'm rich" is a flex like no other.)"

And Philadelphia Eagles player Darius Slay wrote: "It blows my mind cause im sure that kid wants to be a Heisman trophy winner or a draft pick an Cam did both!!"

Owens later apologized to Newton, his coaches and his parents for his embarrassing behavior.

Cam Newton is demanding a DNA test from his ex-girlfriend, Kia Proctor, who gave birth to their youngest child after they separated six months ago.

According to Bossip.com, Newton, 30, sued Proctor, 31, for paternity, joint custody and visitation of their four children, Chosen 5, Sovereign-Dior, 3, Camida, 2, and Cashmere Saint, 3 months.

Newton also fathered a child with former Miss Azerbaijan La Reina Shaw, 33, while cohabiting with Proctor and their children.

Newton acknowledged that he signed his children's birth certificates and he is voluntarily paying child support but he wants the court to determine a set dollar amount for child support and he wants to be legally confirmed as the father of the youngest child.

Proctor countersued Newton for full physical custody, child support, health benefits, life insurance and legal fees.

Proctor, a former stripper and Instagram model, says she hasn't held down a job in six years and she has no other sources of income.

She noted Newton's guaranteed salary of $60 million out of a $104 million contract, She said Newton also has endorsement deals that she wants a cut of.

Additionally, Newton owns multiple businesses in Georgia and elsewhere. Proctor said she is willing to negotiate a financial deal with Newton that will ensure she is set for life.

She asked the judge to force Newton to hand over $15,000 so she can hire a forensic analyst to scour Newton's financials to determine an appropriate amount for child support.

She also wants the court to enforce a settlement agreement they made before their youngest child was born in September.

She said she moved out of Newton's Atlanta home and moved with their children to her native Maryland.

Newton now lives with Shaw and their infant in Atlanta.
