Victoria Monét earned 7 Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist for her song “On My Mama.”

She holds the record for the most Grammy nominations for an LGBT+ artist.

In a recent interview with Gayle King, Victoria reiterated that she is bisexual.

The only proof is her 2018 declaration, “Oh, by the way, I like girls.”

Gayle didn’t ask Victoria about her boyfriend, John Gaines. And Victoria didn’t volunteer any information about him.

They share a 2-year-old daughter, Hazel. Hazel is the youngest Grammy nominee in history for her contribution on her mom’s song “Hollywood”.

Victoria and John both express their love for each other on social media.

In one post, John writes:

“A celebration of your talent, your passion, your voice, your beauty, your attention to detail, your love, your energy… a celebration of YOU!!! This project is amazing and I’m glad the world can finally enjoy it as much as I have. I’m so proud of you my love. @victoriamonet.”

Some fans question whether Victoria is truly bisexual.

One fan wrote: “It’s crazy on who they promote, she is new janelle monae with catchier songs.”

Janelle Monae claims to be “queer” while living a heterosexual lifestyle.

Another fan wrote: “Why is it a big deal to tell the world this? I’m guessing she’s trying to snatch the diversity & inclusion card with the Grammy’s.”

A third person wrote: “I suppose the entertainment reporter probably left married out of the interview because it causes confusion and speculation since she has a husband.”
