FanDuel, an online gambling company, seized a customer’s winnings for “unmet child support.”
The deadbeat dad posted a screenshot of the email from FanDuel informing him that his winnings were seized per a court order.
“[L]ord jesus, they got me,” he wrote on Twitter/X Wednesday.
FanDuel is a legal online sports betting and casino website.
FanDuel sent the user a notification informing him that his gambling account was suspended/locked for an unpaid debt.
The Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services, Division of Child Support Enforcement contacted FanDuel to seize the man’s gambling winnings.
“You had an open child support debt and we have debited $1,578.84 from your winnings to fulfill the open balance,” the notice read.

After seizing his money, FanDuel informed the customer that his child support obligation was met and his account was unlocked.
“Any other cash winnings prior to the account suspensions will be available for withdrawal at your discretion,” the company wrote.
Twitter/X users were unsympathetic.
