When Beyonce dropped her 8th studio album Act II: Cowboy Carter, Taylor Swift’s fans noticed her name was not anywhere in the song credits.
After getting over their initial disappointment, Taylor’s fans listened to the entire album, and thought they heard her singing background on track 8.
Taylor’s fans insisted the pop star is singing the “ahhs” in the background on the song “Bodyguard.”
“THAT IS 100% TAYLOR SWIFT ON BODYGUARD BY BEYONCÉ NOW GIVE ME A FULL COLLAB,” one fan tweeted on Friday.
Another fan wrote, “wait i can really hear taylor singing the ahhs in bodyguard…”
A third person wrote, “IS TAYLOR DOING THE BACKGROUND VOCALS FOR BODYGUARD OR NOT SOMEONE TELL ME.”
But Billboard reached out to both camps for confirmation.
“No, Swift’s voice is not included in ‘Bodyguard,'” the outlet noted.
Sources say Beyonce shares the fans’ disappointment. She did everything in her power to convince the pop star to hop on her new country-themed album.
Beyonce desperately hoped Taylor’s star power would help her score her first-ever Album of the Year Grammy Award.
But Taylor is too busy traveling the world with Travis Kelce and working on her own music. Taylor has the most Grammy Album of the Year wins with 4.
