Tia Mowry bumped into her ex-husband Cory Hardrict on the red carpet at the 2024 Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards on Thursday.
Tia, 45, and Cory, 44, bumped into each other as Tia was being interviewed by Access Hollywood.
She waved at Cory and laughed, as they both embraced awkwardly (watch video).
Tia announced their separation in October 2022 after 14 years of marriage. “These decisions are never easy and not without sadness,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
They finalized their divorce in April 2023.
Rumor has it that Tia and Cory stepped out on each other during their marriage. But Cory denied the cheating rumors.
It wasn’t the first time the “Sister, Sister” star has seen her ex. But it is the first time that fans have seen them together publicly.
Tia and Cory co-parent their son Cree, 12, and 5-year-old daughter Cairo.
Tia, pictured with her twin Tamera, responded to a question about the biggest impact “Sister, Sister” had on her life.
“The biggest impact that show had on me is really being able to believe in a dream,” she said.
“I mean, at such a young age, I mean, I was 14 years old when … that show came on the air. And then it was just … this incredible massive hit.”
Tia spends most days with her children and chatting online with fans who urge her to find a new man.
But Tia is taking things slowly, and following in the footsteps of singer/actress Mary J. Blige, 53.
Mary moved on from her disastrous marriage to Martin “Kendu” Isaacs. She told Today show hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that she’s in love with herself.
“I am in love. I believe I deserve a good relationship,” she said. “With myself. With a partner. When you believe it, it comes to you.”
