Caitlin Clark broke Pete Maravich’s NCAA scoring mark in Iowa’s 93-83 win over No. 2 Ohio State in Iowa City on Sunday, March 3.

Clark needed only 18 points to break the scoring record set by the late Maravich in 1970.

Maravich’s NCAA Division 1 scoring record of 3,667 points was considered unbreakable.

The 22-year-old 6-foot guard broke three major college basketball records in the last three weeks.

Rapper Travis Scott and “Jake from State Farm” were among those in attendance to watch Clark become the all-time scoring leader.

Tributes poured in on social media for Clark. Lakers superstar LeBron James wrote, “CONGRATS @CaitlinClark22 on becoming the All-Time leading scorer!!”

President Biden’s Twitter/X manager posted, “Congratulations to Caitlin Clark on making history as the NCAA all-time leading scorer. With 3,685 points and counting, you’ve made your school proud.”

Former NFL star Antonio Brown continued to mock Clark by comparing her to a man on Sunday.

“Congrats to Caitlin Clark on becoming all-time leading scorer,” he wrote in a post accompanied by a GIF of actor Mel Gibson with long, flowing hair.

Last month, Brown was heavily criticized for calling Clark a “b*tch” and “Mel Gibson lookalike” in a previous tweet.

Brown later backtracked and claimed “it was a joke.”
