Last year, character actor Richard Lawson deactivated his Twitter account after he was caught ‘liking’ NSFW tweets.

Elon Musk, who acquired Twitter.com for $44 billion in 2022, removed the ‘likes’ tab from profiles to protect users like Mr. Lawson.

Users were shocked when they found Lawson’s Twitter profile and discovered explicit videos in his likes section.

The incident was embarrassing because, at the time, Lawson was in the midst of a divorce from Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles.

Many users expressed shock and dismay that a married man ‘liked’ pornographic videos. It seems that Mr. Lawson believed his likes were hidden from public view.

Tina Knowles filed for divorce from the “All My Children” star in the summer of 2023 after 8 years of marriage.

The divorce was finalized in September 2023 and Tina restored her name to Celestine Knowles.

Musk’s move to make likes private on X/Twitter coincides with a new policy to allow consensual adult content, as long as it’s clearly labeled as such.

In a recent statement, Musk said users “should be able to create, distribute, and consume material related to sexual themes as long as it is consensually produced and distributed.”

Musk said adult content is restricted for children and for adult users who choose not to view it.

Adult content was allowed on Twitter.com before Musk acquired it. But there was no specific policy in place.

In other X/Twitter news, Musk has removed your ability to block users as part of his commitment to freedom of speech.

This means celebrities such as Loni Love and Gabrielle Union can no longer block your Auntie on X/Twitter.
