Jennifer Lopez is being advised to follow in Beyonce’s footsteps by switching to country music as her career stalls amid divorce rumors.
Jon Peters, J-Lo’s former music producer, advised the singer to switch to country music.
Lopez recently canceled her tour to spend more time with her children and friends. She is in the midst of a divorce from actor Ben Affleck.
Peters claims that Lopez needs to revive her career by “selling everything” and releasing a country album.
“Her career needs to change. I told her manager, Benny Medina, she needs to sell everything and move to Nashville and do a country or western album,” Peters said.
“It would be a monster, she’d get every young guy. I [told Benny], ‘I’ll fund it. You don’t even need a record company, I’ll put up all the money and we’ll own it,'” the Hollywood mogul added.
Beyonce recently moved to Nashville and made the switch to country music.
On March 29, she released a well-received country-themed album titled Act II: Cowboy Carter.
However, Beyonce has been missing in action lately. She has stopped promoting the album and she hasn’t been seen in public since April.
Rumor has it that Beyonce and husband Jay-Z are keeping a low profile to avoid process servers.
