Ts Madison’s business partner Dominique Morgan (left) is charged with stealing $100,000 from a bail fund to help the transgender community.

The trans community wonders if Ts Madison is also mixed up in the scamming. This is bad news for Madison who is engaged to be married, as Sandrarose.com reported last month.

Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced the charges in a press release. Morgan is charged with one count of second-degree grand larceny and 23 counts of first-degree falsifying business records.

The charges stem from Morgan’s alleged embezzlement of funds in July 2022 as executive director of The Okra Project, a nonprofit that bails trans individuals out of jail.

Gonzalez alleges that Morgan stole $99,000 from the nonprofit and diverted it in a bank account that Morgan controlled. Morgan also allegedly used the money to pay for Mercedes-Benz car payments, clothing, meals, and a $19,000 “closet renovation” from California Closets.

The charges were filed in NY. So Morgan was released on no cash bail and is scheduled to appear in court in December. If convicted, Morgan could receive between five and 15 years in prison for the grand larceny charge, Gonzalez wrote.

Morgan was fired from the Okra Project, but Ts Madison gave Morgan a job managing the Madison Starter House in the Atlanta area.

The Starter House is Madison’s former home that provides housing and resources for transgender people in the Atlanta area. Morgan manages the Starter House, which opened earlier this year, according to Forbes.

Madison tells Forbes, “When I first came up with the idea to donate my first house to charity, I thought about how I moved to Atlanta homeless, broke, poor, sick from silicone poisoning, and with no sense of direction or place to go. One of my trans sisters took me in and became like a second mother to me. She motivated me and gave me the tools to start over and make it on my own.”

Fans wonder if Madison knows Morgan is facing charges and could be sent to prison if convicted.
