Joe Budden has been arrested and charged with trying to enter a neighbor’s apartment wearing only his birthday suit. The 44-year-old retired rapper was hit with a charge of lewdness for an incident on December 4, 2024.
A screenshot of the podcaster’s booking info went viral on X (Twitter) on Sunday, December 29. Budden is charged with lewdness, sexual misconduct or indecency in public.

The Edgewater Police Department issued a press release stating that authorities were called to an Edgewater apartment complex after a female resident complained about an uninvited intruder.
The 911 caller was alerted by her doorbell camera when she reportedly saw Budden standing butt-naked outside her apartment door. The video allegedly shows the podcaster entering a code into the resident’s door keypad multiple times, before returning to his own apartment across the hall.
The woman provided doorbell camera footage of the incident to the police.
Budden’s defense might claim that the illegal act is related to a sleep disorder. Budden has previously mentioned on his podcast that he is a sleepwalker.
He is scheduled to appear in court on January 16, 2025.
