First Lady Melania Trump is closer to getting her first American Vogue magazine cover. Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour plans to offer Mrs. Trump her first cover and fashion layout in the iconic magazine.

The fashion world is also considering embracing the first lady after they snubbed Melania during Trump’s first term in office.

Melania Trump unveiled her official White House portrait in a tweet on Monday.

Styled by Hervé Pierre, Melania posed behind a desk in the residence’s Yellow Oval Room. She wore a black Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit with a white button down shirt. Behind her, the Washington Monument could be seen in the window.

Belgian photographer Régine Mahaux snapped the photo on Jan. 21, the day after Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.

The portrait shocked social media followers who aren’t used to seeing first ladies in B&W official White House photos.

The majority of her followers had nothing but praise for the photo. Some followers noted that Melania took a photo similar to President Trump’s Oval Office photo.
