President Donald Trump held a Black History Month celebration at the White House on Thursday, Feb. 20.
Trump celebrated golf legend Tiger Woods, and rappers Kodak Black and Boosie Badazz among the many guests invited to attend the event.

Trump announced that statues of the late NBA star Kobe Bryant, Muhammad Ali, civil rights icon Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King will be erected in the National Garden of American Heroes.

The president also announced Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Frederick Douglass, and MLB pioneer Jackie Robinson will get statues in the garden.

The National Garden of American Heroes was unveiled by Trump in 2020 and is dedicated to celebrating heroic figures in American history.
The president promised to fight for the rights of Black Americans. “We’re going to be fighting long and hard for Black Americans and all Americans,” he told the crowd.

“We pay tribute to the generations of Black legends, champions, warriors and patriots who helped drive our country forward to greatness,” said Trump, as the crowd chanted, “Four more years!” in reference to Trump serving a possible third term in office in 2028.
“We’re going to look forward to honoring the contributions of countless Black Americans who fought to win and protect and expand American freedom from the very, very beginning,” he added.

Trump was joined on stage by golf legend Tiger Woods, who wore his Presidential Medal of Freedom — which he received from Trump during his first term in 2019 — around his neck. Other prominent attendees included Senator Tim Scott, R-S.C., Rep. John James, D-Mich., and the newly confirmed secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Scott Turner. Alice Johnson, the Black grandmother who received a pardon from Trump in 2018 after serving 21 years in prison, was also in attendance. Trump said he would name Johnson as his “pardon czar” and take her recommendations on presidential pardons.

I’m at the White House for Black History Month
This is what President Trump is feeding us!
If the man hated black people then why would he invite us & be feeding us this good?
People lied when they said he was going to forget about black Americans because it’s last term in… pic.twitter.com/kAKWTQGEMQ

The Left told us that Donald Trump was cancelling Black History Month.
Yet – for some reason – he invited all of these black people into his home to literally celebrate Black History Month? ????
The Left hates this. pic.twitter.com/OIZvb2GSLG
