After visiting several NFL teams, Russell and the Giants agreed to terms late Tuesday.
Russ will play backup quarterback to Giants starter Jameis Winston, 31.
Russ’s wife, pop singer Ciara reacted to the news with a post in her Instagram stories.
“New York State of Mind! My greatest inspiration @dangerusswilson,” the Grammy winner wrote under a photo of Russell dressed in a NY Yankees uniform.

Russ, 36, played second base for the Yankees in 2018. He was traded to the Yankees by the Texas Rangers that same year.

Russell and Ciara share three children together. She also has a son by rapper Future Hendrix.
In another more revealing post, Ciara, 39, uploaded an image of herself crawling across a pool table wearing only black underwear. She captioned the image simply “Ecstasy.”
