Dallas rapper Yella Beezy faces a capital murder charge in connection with the 2020 shooting death of fellow Dallas artist Mo3.
Beezy, real name Markies Conway, was arrested Thursday and charged with murder-for-hire in the death of rapper Mo3, real name Melvin Noble, 27,
A Dallas County grand jury returned the indictment this week. Beezy, 33, is charged with orchestrating the murder “while remuneration was involved.”
Cell phone video showed Mo3 running through traffic on Interstate 35E near Marsalis Avenue while being pursued by a shooter on Nov. 11, 2020.
The gunman caught up to Mo3 on the Interstate and shot him multiple times with an AK-47. The shooting was captured on traffic cameras.

Two men were previously indicted in connection with the murder of MO3 (pictured). Prosecutors say Beezy hired Kewon White to kill Mo3. White was later indicted in February 2021. Devin Maurice Brown was also indicted and accused of helping to coordinate the hit.
Phone records and surveillance data placed both suspects near the crime scene in the hours before the shooting.
Mo3, an up-and-coming rapper, was signed to rapper Boosie’s record label.
