Women are taking to social media to complain that men are in their “Soft Girl Era” now and women have to be the men in relationships.

Pop star Bebe Rexha joined the legions of women complaining that men are competing to be in their “Soft Girl Era” nowadays.

In a livestream video, Bebe said, “I’m all about guys being more in touch with their feminine side, you know? Like, I love that for you. But it’s hard to be in your Soft Girl Era, which I feel we all wanna be in our soft girl era right now – at least I do. But it’s like when all the guys are in their soft girl eras, it’s like … I gotta be the boyfriend and the girlfriend?”

Some of Bebe’s followers agreed, while others said men in their soft girl era is not a big deal.

One fan wrote: “Oh yeah, there’s definitely not enough masculinity in the world right now.”

Another fan wrote: “She needs to leave West Hollywood and go to Orange County… just stop hanging out with guys who love pop divas and start hanging out with guys who like fishing, own a boat, and have never heard of Bebe Rexha.”

A third person commented: “can we stfu abt this ‘soft girl era’ and men who aren’t masculine enough BS, it’s like we’re going backwards as a society.”

In a 2020 article titled “The Rise of the Soft Man,” the author said masculinity is a spectrum that goes through changes in expression.

“The Soft Man is any man that can identify, communicate, and express his emotions and actions in a healthy manner. His expression of masculinity NEVER comes at anyone’s expense.”
