
A South Carolina restaurant owner is under fire for accusing a Black couple of refusing to pay for their dinner.
In a now viral video, Christopher Phillip Wallman Jr., owner of the Mill Street Grill in Manning, is catching heat for accusing a couple of refusing to pay after they complained about overcooked pork chops.
Wallman is seen in a series of TikTok videos accusing the couple of “refusing to pay” for their meal.
“This lovely couple has ordered $137 worth of food,” Wallman said in one TikTok video.
Wallman added that they are refusing to pay after spending 45 minutes in the restaurant.
The couple denied refusing to pay. “We said we didn’t get the pork chops that is on there,” the female customer said, before adding, “Call the police up here.”
“Go ahead,” said Wallman while laughing. “I will not be bullied,” he told the couple.

“My husband is a disabled veteran. He works a job as well. We’re not refusing to pay,” the woman told the other diners. She said she is refusing to pay for pork chops they never received.
Wallman told the couple to walk out of the restaurant and not to return ever again.
“We eat out all the time,” the woman argued. “Our bills are $150 everywhere we go.” She said she just wanted her food cooked right.
Wallman later apologized to the couple in a Facebook post, but he didn’t apologize to the couple directly.
Social media users flooded the video comment section with comments criticizing the restaurant owner.
One person wrote: “The owner is totally wrong for this!!!”
Another person wrote: “I will NEVER set foot in the Grill in Manning! The owner should be ashamed!”
“He’s so unprofessional it’s embarrassing,” a third person wrote.
Others blamed the waitress for not taking the overcooked pork chops back to the kitchen when the couple asked her to.
