Sean Kingston has been reunited with his mother, Janice Turner, in a Miami detention center. Sean, real name Kisean Anderson, was remanded into the custody of U.S. Marshals at a bond hearing after he failed to pay $100,000 cash bond to remain free following his conviction on fraud charges last month.
A search of the Federal Bureau of Prisons website shows Sean is an inmate at Miami Federal Detention Center along with his mother, Janice, who was also convicted last month of running a multi-million dollar fraud scheme.
Sean, 35, and Janice Turner, 62, were arrested in May 2024 for the theft of a $150,000 entertainment system that was installed in his rental home but never paid for.

Sean and his mother are accused of scamming other companies, including car dealerships, a jewelry store, several banks and a mattress firm.
Janice was accused by the judge of being the “fixer and nerve center” in charge of the fraud scheme.
After the verdict was read in March, “Mama Kingston,” as Janice is known on Instagram, was taken into custody. The judge considered her to be a flight risk because of her testimony during the trial.

Sean broke down in tears as the verdict was read in court in March.
“Protect my mother,” the rapper cried out as US Marshals escorted Janice to jail, WPLG reported.
Sean’s lawyer described him as a “child” who did not understand finances and would spend money with no regard.
He was on house arrest in South Florida after paying a $200,000 surety bond in cash.
He also put up a relative’s $500,000 house as part of the bond requirement.
