Former NFL star Shannon Sharpe caused a buzz over the weekend when he slipped and said something he really didn’t mean to say.
During a live podcast, Shannon and his co-host Chad Ochocinco and NBA vet Joe Johnson were discussing Tracee Ellis Ross, who said she only dates younger men.

Shannon, who calls himself “Unc”, explained, “When Unc said he wanna date younger men, they kill me.” He then began to stutter as both Chad and Joe showed visible reactions.
A Freudian slip is defined by psychologist Sigmund Freud as an unconscious thought that is accidentally revealed by “a slip of the tongue.”
These accidental slips reveal unrealized feelings that should never be spoken out loud.
According to Simply Psychology, Freud said these slips can be interpreted as “repressed urges and intentions.”
An example of a Freudian slip is calling your partner by an ex’s name during an intimate moment.

Unfortunately, Shannon’s slip of the tongue came at the worst time – while he was live on his podcast viewed by thousands of people.
Chad threw Shannon a lifeline to try and save him: “You said men. We knew what you meant.”
Chad probably felt badly for Shannon, because Chad is a sensitive man.
Chad once flew a friend of mine to his home in Florida and took her on a shopping spree after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
