Frontier Airlines terminated 2 ticket agents who mocked a passenger for trying to check in 30 minutes before his flight.
The man repeatedly said that he already bought a plane ticket. He just wanted to check in. But the 2 agents refused to check him in.
When the women told the customer to pay them a $25 “agent assist fee” to check him in, he balked at the fee before agreeing to pay it.
But the women refused to accept the $25 fee.
“You didn’t pay $25 for an agent assist fee. Hello? And you thought you was gonna get on your flight. And you thought you was gonna get on your flight…” one of the women mocked him.
Both ticket agents recorded the encounter on their cell phones. A third employee, wearing a flowery house dress, was identified as a supervisor. But she wasn’t supervising anything.
“I’m here 30 minutes before my flight and they’re not letting me check in,” the man complained.
Another agent said, “Because it’s a policy. We don’t control that.”
“And you will never fly on Frontier Airlines again,” the first agent told him.
The man said, “You were about to let me check in.”
One agent responded, “Oh, make me check you in.”
In a statement to TMZ, Frontier Airlines said:
“We are aware of what occurred and have been directly in touch with the customer. The individuals in question, who work for a third party contractor, are no longer associated with the Frontier account.”
The budget airline also told TMZ they refunded the man’s original flight and reimbursed him for a different flight to get home.
