A heartbreaking moment occurred between Steph Curry and his only son, Canon, after the Warriors lost to the Houston Rockets 115-107 at home on Friday. With the Game 6 loss, the series is now tied 3-3. Game 7 is on Sunday, May 4, in Houston.

Steph, 37, was often double-teamed and he finished with 29 points. He scored only 3 points in the 4th quarter.

Steph’s stats were disappointing to his fans and to his son, Canon, who turns 7 on July 2.

After the game, Steph strolled to the box where his wife Ayesha Curry and mom, Sonya, were waiting to greet him. But Canon turned his back on his father and hugged his mom’s neck as Steph approached them.

Ayesha forced Canon to turn around and face his father.

“Bro! Hey, dude, come here. Let me tell you something,” Steph said to Canon. “Guess what? We have another game on Sunday.”

“I know that!” a disappointed Canon responded before turning to embrace his mom again.

The embarrassing moment was captured by NBC Sports and quickly went viral on social media.

Steph and Ayesha Curry, 36, also share daughters Riley, 12, Ryan, 9, and baby Cai who was born in May 2024.

Social media users expressed concern for the Rockets after making Canon cry.

One person wrote: “I just KNOW the Rockets are shaking in their boots cause what yall did was have THE MF Steph Curry’s son look embarrassed… Steph not gone let that slide.”

Others noted that Canon is about to turn 7, and a boy should have better control over his emotions – especially in public.

Fans suggested that Steph bring his son to practice like his father, Dell Curry, did for him. Or Steph and Ayesha can hire a male nanny as a substitute role model until Steph gets home from work.
