As the consumer wears the “dirty” sneakers, they lighten and brighten up until they appear almost new, according to Vibe.com.
One X user theorized that the sneaker becomes cleaner when exposed to oxygen.
think it’s cause oxygen must be the reason it wears away. So only wearing it can expose the material to oxygen for a long enough duration for it to work maybe?

Complex revealed the sneaker on social media with a note card detailing the full release from the company’s Dot Swoosh division.

The note card explains the sneakers come with a toothbrush, which is used by sneaker heads to clean their kicks.
The note card reads: “Here is the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Dirty Triple White.’ The more you wear it, the more beautiful it becomes. It’s that simple. It’s black-and-white. We put a toothbrush in there, too, in case you want to take things into your own hands. Do your thing. Make these AF1s your personal time machine.”
