The U.S. Department of Justice released the full video showing a domestic violence incident between Sean Combs and his then-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
The video shows Combs wearing only a bath towel around his waist while chasing Cassie down a hotel hallway. He caught up to Cassie at the elevator, threw her to the floor and kicked at her with his socked foot.
He then grabbed her hoodie and dragged Cassie to a hallway.
CNN obtained the video and aired it in May 2024. CNN selectively edited the footage to imply that Combs dragged Cassie all the way to their hotel suite.
But the full video shows Combs letting go of Cassie’s hoodie and calmly walking away from her.

Sources in Combs’s camp say Cassie stole his Louis Vuitton bag filled with cash.
The incident happened at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, California in 2016. The hotel has since closed.
The full video is not as shocking as CNN’s selectively edited clip. Cassie does not seem to be injured. She even paused to apply lip gloss after the alleged attack.
A hotel employee got off the elevator and spent some time talking with Combs and Cassie.

During Combs’ sex trafficking trial in New York, the former hotel employee said Combs offered him money to forget what happened.
Los Angeles police officer Israel Florez was working as hotel security at the time. He was questioned about his interactions with Combs and Cassie in the video.
“She was scared,” Florez testified on May 12. “She was in the corner, hood on, covered up. I couldn’t see her face, she was pretty much in the corner. On the floor was a destroyed flower vase.”

“I started to leave and [Combs] called for me,” Florez said on the witness stand. “He had a sack of money and he threw it at me and said, ‘Don’t tell anyone.'”
But Florez said he didn’t accept the bribe.
Cassie is on the witness stand on day 3 of the trial. Wednesday is her second day testifying.
According to journalists covering the trial, the jurors are getting impatient because there has not been any evidence presented of a crime against Sean Combs so far.
