Alicia Keys made an appearance on Good Morning America‘s final show from the Times Square studios in New York City on Friday, June 13. The show’s set will move to the Walt Disney Company’s New York City headquarters at 7 Hudson Square.
GMA will begin broadcasting from its new home on June 16. The move was a cost-cutting measure for the network that made its home in Times Square for 26 years. Office rent in Times Square has become too expensive.

To mark the final GMA show, the team booked pop singer Alicia Keys and a performance from the cast of her Broadway show Hell’s Kitchen.
“It’s a celebration,” Alicia said about the opportunity to appear on the final show in Times Square. The cast of Hell’s Kitchen belted out a medley of classic hits “Girl on Fire” and “No One,” delivering vocals and emotions.

Alicia is seen on the set with GMA co-hosts Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts.
Robin remembered her first day on the set of GMA in Times Square. “I just remember thinking, I’m a little girl from Mississippi, and I’m working in Times Square. It’s just so majestic,” she said.

Robin continued: “I just remember the energy and looking around going, ‘This is our home.’ All these years later it still feels that way.”
The View, The Tamron Hall Show and Live with Kelly and Mark also made the move to new locations.
The Tamron Hall Show moved to a new location in January 2025, and Live with Kelly and Mark followed in April.
