Sean Kingston’s sister Kanema Morris, aka “Dimples”, is wanted on an open warrant for shoplifting at a Target store in Florida last year. She is on the run and authorities believe she fled the country to Kingston, Jamaica.
Morris, 40, is accused of petty theft of store merchandise worth less than $750. She was arrested last year but she never showed up for her court date.
Sean Kingston, 35, is living in his sister’s home in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He and his mother, Janice Turner were convicted of federal wire fraud charges in March.
Turner is currently in jail awaiting her sentencing hearing on July 11.
Kingston was released on a surety bond of $500,000, using a friend’s home as collateral, plus $200,000 in cash.
He must wear a GPS ankle monitor and he can’t leave the home without permission from the judge. Kingston and his mom will be sentenced on July 11.
Morris is a popular Instagram model with over 450,000 followers. She honored her mom in a Mother’s Day post on Instagram.
She captioned the post: “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. I’m thinking about you and celebrating the most strong, and loving mother anyone could ever ask for. Even though we’re apart, my heart is with you always. You’ve shaped me with your love, and your strength keeps me going every single day.”
Authorities believe Morris is hiding out somewhere in Kingston, Jamaica. She captioned one Instagram photo in patois: “Mind pon mi money and mi money pon mi mind.”
English translation: Mind on my money and my money on my mind.
Morris added the hashtags: #freedomstreet and #godisthegreatest.
