Marvel fans are upset with director Ryan Coogler after T’Challa’s son is revealed to be white in the much-anticipated new six part Black Panther comic series titled Marvel Knights: The World To Come.

The character T’Challa was famously played by the late actor Chadwick Boseman in the Black Panther movies.
In the new comic book series, the son of T’Challa, named Ketema grows up resenting his father. Eventually Ketema challenges his father for the throne of Wakanda.
After Ketema defeats T’Challa in a battle, he unmasks himself to reveal he is white. Ketema takes his place as the new Black Panther in Wakanda.
Marvel fans reacted to the controversial change on social media. One person wrote: “So T’Challa walked in the joint years ago like ‘Where the white women at?!'”
Another person wrote on a manosphere board, “This is why I am critical of Ryan Coogler, he has destroyed T’Challa to the point that the COMIC BOOKS are now destroying him!”
