Morning Glory: Dreka Gates (Kevin Gates’ 1st Wife)

Dreka Gates is living her best life as a single mom while her cheating husband, Kevin, is dating Brittany Renner.

Kevin, 39, married the former Dreka Haynes, his high school sweetheart, in October 2015. They share two minor children.

Kevin began dating Brittany, 33, in 2024. She converted to Islam and they both exchanged vows, though they are not legally married.

Kevin and Dreka, 37, broke up in 2022, 2023, and again in 2024. Kevin rapped about their many breakups in his songs. He even hinted that Dreka was seeing other people while he was in prison.

They finally agreed to have an open marriage. Dreka dipped her toes in the lady pond while dating her personal trainer.

In 2022 there was a rumor that Dreka had a baby for her 50-ish personal trainer while Kevin was in prison. Kevin alluded to the rumor in a verse on his freestyle titled “Super General.”

“Personal trainer invaded my personal place/
Deep down inside it killed me.”

Dreka keeps herself busy while her husband is off with his other wife, Brittany. When Dreka is not tending to her farm animals, or selling her line of skincare products, she hosts her own podcast on YouTube.

Dreka captioned a recent Instagram video, “You don’t need a plus one to treat yourself. Try something new. I love finding cool things to do. I went to a ceramics class at @planta and loved it! Made myself a little heart bowl that runneth over.”
