
Actor Julian McMahon, star of “Nip/Tuck”, “Charmed” and “Fantastic Four”, died on July 2 in Clearwater, Florida, following a long battle with cancer. He was 56.
McMahon was diagnosed with cancer multiple times throughout his life. In early 2025, McMahon announced that he was cancer-free. His exact cancer diagnosis was not disclosed.
McMahon played Dr. Christian Troy on the TV series, Nip/Tuck, Cole Turner in the TV show Charmed and Dr. Doom in the Fantastic Four films.

The film and TV actor’s wife Kelly McMahon told USA Today he died peacefully “after a valiant effort to overcome cancer.”
“He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible,” she said in her statement.
Hollywood stars Rosie O’Donnell, Rose McGowan, Alyssa Milano, and Kelly Carlson remembered McMahon in tributes on social media.
McGowan, who starred with McMahon on “Charmed,” posted an Instagram story reading, “Oh Julian you force of brilliance, wild talent and humour. For you, your family and loving fans all over the world, I pray comfort.”

“Julian McMahon was magic. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence,” Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano wrote in a post on social media.
McMahon is survived by daughter, Madison, with his second wife Brooke Burns. His first wife was Australian pop singer and actress Dannii Minogue, sister of pop star and actress Kylie Minogue.
McMahon was born in Australia. His father, Sir William “Billy” McMahon, served as Australia’s prime minister from 1971 to 1972.
