Motherhood is a joyous journey for most women. But it’s a challenge that some women can’t handle.

The frustration of raising her three children by herself was too much for TikTok user @Clerichena. She gave her children to their father to raise them alone.

“Everything is going to work out,” Clerichena told her TikTok followers. “I don’t want my children back. And it’s not because I don’t want to take care of them or anything like that. I love taking care of them. I love raising them. But I don’t want them back for another set of reasons.”

Clerichena explained that she doesn’t have a support system – no friends or family to lean on.

“I have been raising these children with no support system – and when I say no support system, I don’t even have an emergency contact to give to their doctor,” she said. “I don’t have friends, I don’t have family, I don’t have… I take care of everything by myself.”

She described her children’s father as a “deadbeat” who wanted children to preserve his legacy. She accused him of playing on her phone even though he has the children physically.

“You have the children. I took them to you,” she said. “You have their birth certificate, you have their social [security]. You have them physically. There is no reason why you should be playing on my phone.”

She continued: “At the end of the day, it was never about you having the children. It was about you having access to me. It was about you being able to get in contact with me, and I don’t have time for that.”

Clerichena’s followers were sympathetic. Many of them praised her decision to unburden herself and give her children to their father to raise.

One user wrote: “Normalize dads having full custody and moms being the fun parent!”

Another user wrote: “Let him have them kids. Live your life queen!!”

A third person wrote: “Men leave their kids everyday. Btw I admire your self-awareness.”

In another viral video on TikTok, several women celebrate their single life after giving up custody of their children.

The video caption reads: “I gave up custody of my kids to spend more weekends like this.”

The video shows the women twerking while posing with their luxury luggage in an airport. One of the moms twerks on a conveyor belt.

The X user who uploaded the video captioned it: “Bragging about being a deadbeat parent is insane.”
