Sean Combs was denied bail after a jury acquitted him on racketeering (RICO) and sex trafficking counts in Manhattan on Wednesday.

The jury found Combs guilty of transporting ex-girlfriends Cassie Ventura and “Jane Doe” for prostitution purposes.

Ventura’s attorney wrote a letter to the judge asking him to reject Combs’ bond request because Ventura fears for her safety if he is free.

The defense asked the judge to release Combs on home confinement with $1 million bond. The defense said Combs did not have a private jet on standby in New York.

But Judge Arun Subramanian agreed with the prosecution that Combs was a flight risk and a danger to others. He will remain in a Brooklyn detention center until his sentencing in October.

Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo asked the judge for expedited sentencing. The judge agreed to hear the motion for an expedited sentencing on Tuesday, July 8.

“He’s been a model prisoner. There have been no issues,” Agnifilo said.

But based on the judge’s previous rulings, he will likely delay sentencing until October.

Sean Combs celebrated with his attorneys after a Manhattan jury acquitted him on the more serious RICO charge on Tuesday. The jury found him guilty on 2 lesser prostitution charges.

Combs was found not guilty of one count of racketeering conspiracy – the most serious charge. He was also acquitted of two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.

He was convicted of transporting ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and “Jane Doe” across state lines for prostitution purposes.

Cassie and Jane were both given immunity from their crimes in exchange for testifying against their former lover.

After the verdict was read, Combs thanked the jury. He also fell to his knees with his head in a chair, as if praying. He stood up and faced his family and clapped, as they clapped and cheered.

He told his mom, “Thank you. Love you mom. I love you. I love you. I love you.”

Family members were all smiles as they left the courthouse on Tuesday. Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, waved and blew air kisses to supporters outside the courthouse.

Her son has been locked away in jail for 10 months, but Janice and Combs’s children are happy that he will be home soon.

The prostitution charges carries a maximum of 10 years in prison per count. Prosecutor Maurene Comey said they would seek the maximum of 20 years in total. But he is not likely to get prison time.

Combs’ defense attorney begged Judge Arun Subramanian to release his client until the sentencing hearing. Marc Agnifilo offered a $1 million bond and asked for Combs to be released on home confinement in Miami.

Agnifilo said Combs is not a flight risk and his private jet is not on standby in New York.

Last week, a source told Sandrarose.com that Combs’ private jet was gassed and on standby at a New York airport. The source said Combs believed he would be acquitted on all of the trumped up charges.

Another insider said the federal government put Combs on trial to “send a message.”
