Skai Jackson’s ex-boyfriend, Deondre Burgin, is back behind bars following his arrest on carjacking charges. Jackson, 23, and Burgin, 21, share a son, Kasai, who was born in January. They broke up soon after their son was born.

Burgin was arrested outside an Ulta Beauty store in Newport, Kentucky, on Monday, July 14. He was taken into custody by local police from Covington, with help from an FBI task force, according to PEOPLE.

The warrant for Burgin’s arrest was issued by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department in Ohio.

Burgin was extradited to Hamilton County and booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center on Thursday, July 17, according to documents viewed by PEOPLE.

According to the police report, Burgin and another suspect carjacked the owner of a 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300 in the parking lot of a Cincinnati apartment complex. Burgin, who was armed with a Glock 9mm, is also accused of pistol-whipping the victim.

“As the suspect was going through the victim’s pockets, the victim tried to grab the gun from the suspect,” the police report stated.

Another suspect approached the victim and pistol-whipped him.

The victim told police that the two suspects took his car keys and fled with his vehicle, which was soon recovered by police. The victim was treated at a local hospital for multiple face and head lacerations.

The victim later identified Burgin as the suspect who struck him “in the head and face with a pistol multiple times while taking the victim’s property,” according to the police report.

Burgin is being held in the Hamilton County jail without bond. He was previously released from jail for a separate crime in April.

Prior to that, in November, Burgin was arrested on a juvenile parole violation warrant in Cincinnati. He has an extensive collection of mugshots taken at various jails in Kentucky and Ohio.
