McDonald’s customers helped themselves to free food when the manager fell asleep while working a shift with a lone co-worker.
A video circulating online shows customers behind the counter helping themselves to free burgers, fries, and soft drinks while the manager leaned on the counter sleeping.
The incident happened at a McDonald’s location on Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis, Missouri recently. It is the same McDonald’s where a man opened fire after his food order was delayed last month.
The person recording the chaos noted that customers were making their own food to help out the manager. The man urged viewers to “check in.”
“Look at my boy on the fries,” he said as a man wearing a black sweatshirt and white sweatpants helped himself to McDonald’s fries.
The cameraman attempted to wake the manager. “Come on baby girl. You the manager, you supposed to do better than this,” he told her.
At some point, the manager woke up, but she appeared to be lethargic and drowsy. Some viewers speculated that she was on drugs.
One person wrote: “That lady is having a medical emergency or suffering from exhaustion. These youngsters are such a mess nowadays.”
Another person wrote: “Why post this, so she can lose her job?! HELP by waking her up!”
A third person commented: “Diabetic coma perhaps?”
