A Florida teenager killed both of his parents before walking a mile to a church where he called 911 asking for prayers.
Trevor Lee, 14, fatally shot his mother Brandi Smith-Lee, 45, and father David Lee, 44, before walking to the church in Middleburg. He called 911 just after midnight on Monday and confessed to killing both of his parents.

“I need prayers,” Trevor told the 911 dispatcher, according to Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook.

The teen directed deputies to a home in Clay County, where they found the bodies of David Lee and Brandi Smith Lee. The murder weapon was found inside the house. The gun was registered to Trevor’s parents.
Trevor was arrested on two counts of second-degree murder. He is being held in jail without bond pending a mental health evaluation.
In a 2019 Facebook post, Brandi shared a photo of herself and then-8-year-old Trevor sitting beside her.
She wrote in the caption: “This lil boy gives me pure hell. Everything I did to my parents I’m getting it back times 10.”
She added: “Yall keep us lifted up in prayer.”
